The hostel is in a good location, which is a plus - close to many conveniences. The common areas are nice, too, and it does not have a party feel to it. There is also free wifi and breakfast. Only thing is that I didn't find it particularly clean; there was also mould in the bathrooms. The beds weren't very... More

Loved this place!! Was my favourite hostel in the South Island. More of a home than a hostel, could easily have stayed at Last Resort for months. A real bargin of a free breakfast, nice selection of jams, cereals and oats. The hostel is around the corner from a supermarket, the coach station and the bottom of the gondala, as... More

Little bit rough around the edges but it's charming, clean, secure and the staff are awesome. Not too big so get decent personal service and the beds are the most comfortable i've slept on in any hostel. Perfect location, just off the busy street so nice and quiet but a two minute walk from everything you'll want! Just read some... More

The place is just great. It is located near the city center, but just far enough to have free parking nearby. The hostel offers free breakfast and free internet which can save you a couple of dollars every day. The showers have molde, but I think that's the only problem in that place.

This place was terrible. There were about 20 people staying in this hostel with only 2 bathrooms for everyone. There is an old dog, Coco who sneaks into the rooms and stays under the bed because no one dares to get her out from the bed. There was no soap in the bathrooms, and no one emptied the trash. There... More

Positives: Bedding and towels were clean, free breakfast, didn't feel busy, secure entry system, good location. Negatives: 2 beds I stayed in both were old and mattresses needed replacing, sick in upstairs sink not cleaned up until well into the morning of the next day even though staff were on site, old crusty soap bar in upstairs bathroom still there... Great hostel, small no of beds so cozy atmosphere, very good living space, kept very clean, excellent linen, friendly staff, free internet (pcs, not just wifi!), very central location to town centre, supermarket, the gondola etc. Refurbishments still a work in progress so likely to just get better

A lovely hostel and was quite nice surprise that given Queenstown's popularity as a place to visit, the standard of the accommodation was amazing. As usually a popular place the standard tends to slip as they know your there for the place, therefore don't have to bother so much. This was definitely not the case though, I truly loved this...
