Yummy breakfasts, very helpful owner. The brazilian member of staff met us on arrival and showed us up to a lovely room. I think she must have been told to use the guests name because she was using mine in every sentence and often in the middle of one which sounded very strange and unnatural! Not a criticism, more an... More

Breakfast was fantastic and the service was really top-notch. Gillian was super helpful in setting us up with fun activities to do in the area such as horseback riding and a bus/boat tour of the Milford Sound - which she even booked for us and added to our room tab! The aesthetics of the hotel are great, especially in the... More

We really enjoyed our room and the great views at Brown's Boutique Hotel, but it was the three outstanding breakfasts prepared by our hosts Gillian and Donald that we will long remember, as well as Gillian's willingness to go the extra mile to get us set up for our adventures in and around Queenstown. In addition to a menu that... More

What a delightful spot! I have traveled a lot to London and it reminded me of some of the better small hotels there (The Connaught; Skibo Castle's "London Outpost"). Clean, spacious rooms with lovely views of the town, lake and mountains. Outstanding, full-cooked breakfasts, with lot's of choices. Gillian and Donald were also very helpful, answering any and all our... More

I spent two nights at Brown's Boutique Hotel and had a wonderful room with a great view. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. It's an easy walk to the downtown area. Donald and Gillian offered a number of helpful tourist hints. The excellent breakfast was an added bonus. Should I have the pleasure of returning to Queenstown I would... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 4 delightful nights at Brown's Botique in March, 2012. The location of Brown's is wonderful as it sits on a bluff overlooking Queenstown and has amazing views of the Remarkables, town and harbor. It is a quick 5 minute walk into the heart of town. Gillian and Donald were our hosts... More

This lovely hotel is in a quiet part of the town but within easy walking distance of the centre and the lake. It has lovely views encompassing the lake, mountains and town. The rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed with very comfy beds. Breakfasts are good especially the cooked ones. I was disappointed not to have all fresh fruit and no... More

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at this lovely B and B. It is only 5 minutes walk to the centre of town but far enough away to escape from the very busy and at times noisy town. Owners and hosts, Gillian and Donald, were a delight, perfectly balancing the fine line between being... More

Stayed here 3 nights while on an extended South Island vacation that featured hiking the Milford Track. This hotel is located on the hillside that goes up to the gondola lift so it is a very short stroll into Queenstown. However, the side street the hotel is on is very quiet, making for a good night's sleep. We stayed in... More
