We stayed in a twin room for two nights in February. We arrived very late at night, but thankfully had rung ahead earlier as reception only operates between 8am and 8pm. Even though there was a hindsight, location, hotel was a bit far from Queenstown city center. There was a bus service that worked well (8 NZD, return and bus stop just next to the hotel). The hotel staff were friendly and for the money the accomodation was great. Basic accomodation, but no complainments.
