We had a very pleasant experience at Rubyanna Rise B&B about half way between Bundaberg and Bargara Beach in Queensland. Warm welcome from longtime locals Brian and Margaret, delicious home cooked breakfast and comfortable rooms made our stay worthwhile. Our family room, the Qunaba, overlooked fields of sugar cane and we had a cool breeze from the balcony into our... More

We stayed for one night and were very happy with our choice. We chose a B&B rather than a motel to give us an opportunity to chat to locals rather than just check in and check out without the opportunity to understand a bit more about the area. Being set in the cane fields added to the charm. Margaret and... More

If you've never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast before, this is the place to test it. As all the previous reviews testify, this is truly excellent value (we stayed in the Master Suite) with all the comforts of home, super hosts (nothing is too much trouble) and easy proximity to the fantastic Mon Repos Turtle Rookery (an absolute must... As repeatedly stated before, this is a fantastic B&B, the room is large and very clean with a really comfy bed, a small couch to watch TV, huge dressing room, fantastic views over the surrounding cane fields from the lovely balcony, fantastic breezes cooling the room, great breakfast and very friendly and welcoming hosts!! There is a very friendly dog... More

We stayed at Rubyanna Rise for a week in the Fairymead Room. Firstly, the room was excellent with the most comfortable bed we've slept in on our trips away. The room overlooked the cane fields and had a dedicated balcony and cool breezes. The breakfasts were brilliant with pancakes and a full english breakfast, juices and cereals on offer which... More

The room was large and very clean and the hosts could not have been more accommodating. The breakfast was also very nice. Even though it is out of town this was not a problem especially for those travelers with a vehicle. Even though I flew into Bundaberg I was picked up from the airport by the owner and dropped off... Thanks for letting everyone know we are happy to do the taxi service if notified in advance. We are just one the edge of town on the way to Bargara Beach so only about 6 minute drive into Bundaberg. We like guests to see our beautiful district and if possible and Brian will try his best to find time to... More

We loved our night in very comfortable surrounds. Very friendly host in Margaret. We turned up at 7pm unannounced, without a booking. This was no problem. Great smells were coming from the kitchen... The beds were very comfortable and nice to have a couple of couches and a tv to sit and relax in the master bedroom. Woke to lovely... More

Thanks for the great review and sorry I hope you will be able to stay with us again even if it is while working. I do find that people who travel a lot with work enjoy the home atmosphere we have and that is what a B&B is all about to us. I hope the Melbourne weather has been kind... More

On arrival, our host Brian met us in the driveway (in the dark/rain) with a friendly handshake & greeting and assisted with our luggage. He showed us to our room which was upstairs by way of a carpeted staircase to the Master bedroom (situated at one corner of the house). It has ensuite and a huge dressing room. The internal... More

Thank you for staying with us not only on your way north but on your return trip home. That always gives us confidence that our rooms are comfortable and homely. We agree that the view from the balcony is spectacular even to us and it is a beautiful way to start your day overlooking the green cane fields. We acknowledge... More

I stayed 1 night at this b&b after returning from a dive trip. I chose it specifically for the breakfast (home cooked) and the location (quiet & closer to the port than other CBD accommodation). Not only did it deliver as advertised, the rooms were large, the facilities/in-room supplies were comprehensive and Brian & Margaret made sure we had everything... More

Thanks for taking the time to let everyone know you enjoyed your stay with us.
