It has been a long time since we last stayed at The Rose ( 2008 ), what a difference, last time there were tourists and a few Reps etc but now, it is full of miners. As a footnote I too work in the mining sector and travel to Mackay every second week or so. It has become increasingly harder... More

“Warm reception, spacious rooms.”

I have stayed at this property a number of times during my business trips. The hotel is run by exceptional owners and friendly staff which adds to the comfort of the stay. “Not Bad for the price, but don't eat there”

Stayed for business for one week. Great location and close to eveyrthing. Good value rooms given the price. Hotel has a lovely pool area and also features a guest laundry.
