“A very pleasant B&B”

We had an enjoyable stay at Beccles on Margaret. The property itself is lovely, with beautiful grounds and the B&B room is comfortable and spacious enough to be able to relax and unwind. The ensuite was a good size for us and was well fitted out and included quality products. We opted for a continental breakfast on one day and cooked the other. Breakfasts were fine, not quite what we expected based on the guest comments and website, but presentation was always great and the dining room is a lovely room to be able to have breakfast in.
Beccles is really well located to the facilities in Toowoomba. While it is on a busy road, we've realised that Toowoomba is a very big city, so it was not a major issue given the convenience of it's proximity to attractions etc. Bob was a really helpful and attentive host and his local knowledge and tourism advice all added to the enjoyment of the stay. More

I was understandably disappointed to hear the negative comment about our breakfast as we pride ourselves in providing what we consider to be a gourmet breakfast. The Continental breakfast option consists of fruit juice; seasonal fresh fruits (in a manner similar to a fruit salad) i.e. watermelon, papaya, kiwi fruit, strawberries, bananas, blueberries; toasted or regular muesli or weet biscuits... “Great home away from home”

We recently stayed at Beccles on Margaret Street after it was recommended by a family member. We normally don't stay at B&B's, preferring hotels, but we liked the idea of being the only guests as it only has one suite. The house is tastefully decorated and beautifully maintained and the suite consisted of a large bedroom with great wardrobe space, a well appointed but quite small ensuite bathroom and a small sitting room with TV and other amenities such as mini bar and tea and coffee facilities. Bob and Robin are gracious & respectful hosts and the continental breakfast (option of a cooked breakfast as well) the following morning was great. The table was set beautifully and the food included a frest fruit plate, muesli, greek yoghurt, fresh orange juice, apple muffins, toast and a choice of tea or coffee.
