Thia motel is run by people who clearly have no concept of good business practice. They are in the tourism industry and have clearly missed the concept of the customer comes first. They have no customer service skills whatsoever. Would never choose to stay here and would advise anyone thinking of it to rethink their decision!

We stayed three nights here and although outdated, the motel is adequate for the budget traveller. The host, with many years in this motel, is very helpful and provided a great experience for us, going out of his way to please everyone, not easy with 30 senior travellers. A warning for those with problems negotiating getting into a bath to... More

Lakes Entrance is a fantastic spot to break up a Sydney/Melbourne coastal trip or vice versa, all the convenience of the city (think convenient ordinary tasting fast food franchises) with the added advantage of excellent value sensational fresh tasting food from the many local restaurants. Pelican at Lakes Motel offers the best value in town in my opinion, walking distance... More

We stayed here as a one night stop-over in Lakes Entrance. There are huge price diferentials up and down the main street, and for a 2 room suite, $130 is a bargain. The Pelican is clean and is exactly what you are paying for, a cheap motel in a great spot. The rooms are clean, and you are in easy... More

We stayed at Pelican at Lakes Motel about a week ago. We were driving through to Melbourne and thought Lakes Entrance would be a good place to stop. We were having a bit of trouble finding decent available accommodation so we stopped at Pelican at Lakes, walked in and found that there was an availability. We paid $75 for the... More

Rooms are clean and presentable, for what we paid, but we observed that the outside presentation had alot to be desired............there was weeds in pavements, gravel and along fence lines, grass was quite long in areas,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,clearly they need to keep up their maintinance of their outdoor area. Meals were great in their restaurant. Overall, a nice experience though

We had booked here for one night whilst we were driving from Melbourne to Sydney, We got our room key and found the room absolututely basic and very old. I had no problem with that as we hadnt paid that much for the room. We then went out for a couple of hours to explore the area. When we came... More

I will never stay in again and I will not recommend anyone that I know to stay there. The manager there only wants you charge the money but not provide valuable service. When you received your credit card bill, you will find that they charged you addtional fee without notice you. In the end, you pay much more that the... More

We stayed over the Melbourne Cup Weekend (3 nights) and has a great time. The weather was sunny and not too hot. The restuarant there has good meals and as we had a package it a great. The three of us always enjoy staying there. It is a nice walk to the shops and to the North Arm for extra... More
