The bed was amazing. The room was great and comprehensive. We were kept lovely and warm by the heating. The man at the desk was really great - his wife usually looks after things but she was sick. It was great to have laundry facilities.

Very comfortable room, furnished with individual style that suits the local environment and with welcoming personal touches. Thanks for the very helpful information the hosts gave us about tours, places to eat and the wonderful seal pup nursery in the Ohau Stream. We had a car and the distance from town was no problem. Closeness to supermarket an unexpected plus.

Stopped on the way North at a last minute decision once we knew where accommodation was needed! There are several problems with this motel: the location, even though on the map seems wonderfull, it is right next to the railway, and we couldn't sleep all night. We stayed in about 14 Hotels in New Zealand and unfortunaltely this was pretty bad. The service and the room was alright but our bedlinen smelled so bad, that I could not sleep at all. It really is too expensive compared to other Motels/Hotels. The garden view is only a carpark. I can not recommend this Motel.
