The Driftwood Villa is certainly not a "Villa", but it was nice - a four bedroom home. The room and bathroom were small. We got in around 5:00-6:00 and our hosts were out, so we had no recommendations for dinner. The first we saw our host was for breakfast, but he fixed a GREAT made-to-order breakfast. More

A great place to stay with the Whaleway station an easy walk away. Our host made bread for breakfast and all food was cooked to order. The accomodation had its own kitchen and sitting room which gave guests the opportunity to meet and talk over the day's excursions. We only stayed 1 night but would have liked to stay longer. More

We had one night here and found it a very good bed and breakfast. The breakfast in particular was great with a wide choice including fresh strawberries from the garden. The rooms were comfortable, not large but there was a large sitting room and outside seating if needed. Wifi cost $5. More

If you stay in Kaikoura, you must go there. There are 4 guest rooms and the guests have an entire house to themselves, which has beautiful old wooden flooring. We also had the benefit of the kitchen with some drinks and a tin of biscuits and the lounge with the internet. The owners live in the house at the back.... More

This charming B & B is a stone's throw from the crystal clear waters of Kaikoura - a short boat trip to do whale and albatross watching. Snow capped mountains created mystique and were wonderful to view from the dining table. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms very comfortable and cosy. More
