This is the 2nd time I've stayed here. The first was in 2009 when the owners were running it and the 2nd with my parents when they visited from the UK. Very high quality furnishings in the room, very clean and comfortable. Driving distance from main centre of Kaikoura. I enjoyed the visit more when the owners were running the... More

We were lucky enough to stay at the Driftwood Villa whilst touring around New Zealand. There is adequate onsite parking, free use of their hot tub and use of the French Boules lawn. We did however think that the internet was very expensive. The bedroom we stayed in was very comfortable, if not a tad on the small side; however... More

The Driftwood Villa is certainly not a "Villa", but it was nice - a four bedroom home. The room and bathroom were small. We got in around 5:00-6:00 and our hosts were out, so we had no recommendations for dinner. The first we saw our host was for breakfast, but he fixed a GREAT made-to-order breakfast. More

A great place to stay with the Whaleway station an easy walk away. Our host made bread for breakfast and all food was cooked to order. The accomodation had its own kitchen and sitting room which gave guests the opportunity to meet and talk over the day's excursions. We only stayed 1 night but would have liked to stay longer. More

We had one night here and found it a very good bed and breakfast. The breakfast in particular was great with a wide choice including fresh strawberries from the garden. The rooms were comfortable, not large but there was a large sitting room and outside seating if needed. Wifi cost $5. More

We took over the whole B&B on the self-catering holiday house option for our group of 8. True, the ensuites to each room have been added within the rooms and so are on the small side, but clean and perfectly adequate. It has lovely linens and lots of curios together with a charming garden and spa, a cosy fireplace, local... More

This is a recommended B&B in Kaikoura, the town is nice and the property is a quaint house with 4 rooms. The en-suite that we stayed was small but cosy, we managed a peek at the other rooms and they were big and comfortable. The seal colony and the walk up the lookout point was intrestng and beautiful. If you... More

If you stay in Kaikoura, you must go there. There are 4 guest rooms and the guests have an entire house to themselves, which has beautiful old wooden flooring. We also had the benefit of the kitchen with some drinks and a tin of biscuits and the lounge with the internet. The owners live in the house at the back.... More

This charming B & B is a stone's throw from the crystal clear waters of Kaikoura - a short boat trip to do whale and albatross watching. Snow capped mountains created mystique and were wonderful to view from the dining table. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms very comfortable and cosy. More

A very nice place to stay. The sheets on the bed were luxurious. The bathroom, however, was in a closet and was a tight squeeze. Host was very kind and hospitable. More
