Stayed here for only one night on our travels. We booked a more private unit and it had a great porch facing a private grassy yard with wonderful mountain views. Nice for happy hour. Raewyn was a great hostess and greeted us warmly, giving us wonderful tips for our one day stay. The unit was very clean and had everything... More

Four of us stayed here for 1 night while in Kaikoura and were very impressed. The hosts were excellent and we had a laugh, they also had some good recommendations. A little out of town but still close enough. The cottages have really nice gardens, perfect for a spot of sunbathing after your wildlife activities. Cottages are well equiped and... More

Have stayed at these lovely little cottages many times during our annual South Island motorcycle tour. Excellent sized very clean rooms. On our last visit the owner even offered us the use of his vehicle to go into town for dinner as it was pouring with rain, also offered to dry our wet motorcycle gear. Stunning views of Kaikoura ranges... More

We stayed her on a NZ road trip over the Easter Weekend. Accommodation was clean, spacious and comfortable and looked like it had been updated recently. A little bit out of town but fine if you have a car or transport. If you are heading North from Kaikoura make sure you stop at Oahu Scenic reserve - about 10 minutes... More

Our cottage (no.2) was just perfect for our one night stay in kiakoura. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and found the cottage to be very well equipped and quite spacious. The main bedroom is studio style but semi walled off. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. The separate bedroom had 2 single beds. There were electric... More

Me and a friend stayed here last year in June. Don't think we were the usual guests (2 male mid 20's backpackers) but we were warmly welcomed. The owner and his wife couldn't do enough for us. we arrived late after we got the intercity from Christchurch, and hadn't had anything to eat. the shops were shutting and they offered... More

Found the info on these indivdual cottages in AA/Jason book and it read well. Found with ease on the outskirts of town driving in from the North. No hesitation in taking the lodge offered on the back of the development with view of snow capped mountain. Requiring Twin accommodation over our three week tour often meant one double and a... More

The place was clean, new, nicely landscaped, had good views of the mountains to the north, and the manager Daryl was very friendly and helpful. Plus they have a selection of DVD's one can borrow. We were a little concerned about being next to SH-1, the major N/S highway but there were only a few loud trucks and a few... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at this motel. The cottage was well equipped and tastefully decorated and furnished - a lot of care and attention has been taken to ensure the properties are maintained and kept modern. The setting is also beautiful and peaceful. We wish we could have stayed for longer!

Individual cottages, well contained and maintained, quiet with awesome views of the mountains with very friendly hosts and access to their DVD library for free for the times when you need a break from walking, sightseeing and carrying the wifes shopping!
