Planned a trip through an airline holiday package deal. The hotel is a bit dated but not too bad, the view from our bedroom window was brilliant, all the staff coudn't have been more friendly. Although just out of the city itself it was only a ten minute bus ride to city centre. It is a well used hotel by... More

Stayed over Easter. Rooms looking a little dated but a good size and comfortable. The common areas are mostly ok and the newer areas are quite good. Was staying there for a function, and not the gambling. Not into gambling at all but did have a wander through the games floor which did nothing at all to dissuade me that... More

my mate had a 10 dollar steak in the cafe. He didnt really expect alot for the money but he did expect to be able to eat it. It was so tough he couldnt chew it. When he took it back the staff said what do you expect, when you pay ten dollars your going to get a sh!!t steak.... More

We stayed here at Easter for 3 nights. The room was very neat and clean, and despite reading about the out dated decor, it did not bother us, and gave it a cosy feel. It wasn't exactly full of mission brown and orange. The bed was average to good. Perhaps a touch too firm. The views were great. We had... More

We stayed 3 nights in a water view room, initially the colours of the carpet and room were a shock. The room was very clean and comfortable, very good facillities and comfortable bed. I have no doubt I would stay here again. We ate in the resturant in the casino ( buffet) which was average, would not eat there again.... More

We stayed here in april 2012 for 1 night and were quite dissapointed. The only good thing about the hotel were the staff. The gentleman working at the front desk that checked us in and then out the next day was very friendly and helpful. The room we had was ok but for the price we payed we were expecting... More

We stayed two nights at the Wrest Point Hotel. The room was very nice. The service was great. (Note: There is free soda in the casino.) A city bus can pick you up at the bus stop by the hotel and take you to downtown Hobart. Hobart is a neat town. The great thing about our room was our being... More

Stayed there for 5 days as I was attending a conference held in a Wrest Point Convention Centre. IMHO, the whole complex is the ugliest building in Hobart. Location is very inconvenient: you can walk to central Hobart, but it's over 30 min up and down the hills with many unregulated crossings; in theory there's a public bus, but we've... More

We stayed for two nights 31st March to the 2nd April 2012 on the 7th floor, with a view down the Derwent. Even though the room was dated from the 1970’s, it was clean and did not have a smell like some casino hotel rooms. I even walked around the room in bare feet. The view was to die for... More

We stayed did two nights over Easter. I was apprehensive after reading other reviews. Yes, much of it is dated but the staff are helpful and the rooms comfortable. We had a room on the first floor of the tower with water views. The room was very clean and seemed to have Ben recently painted with new curtains and bed... More
