Typical old hotel but should have been $30 for what it was. Oh well, good enough to have a sleep but you wouldn't hang around. Sleep and go...that's all. Portland is a nice spot near the border so that's what I was there for. Food downstairs was ok..pub meal for $20 or so.

Stayed here for a night during summer and found the room spacious and comfortable. However, the hotel bar below was very noisy. Patrons must smoke on the footpath outside and the constant noise is disturbing. Deliveries started very early to the side of the complex.
