My girlfriend and I stayed in a studio. Very large. Kitchen facilities were pretty good. Location was fine, being that it was right near the beach. A bit of a walk from the centre but still reasonably close (20 minutes or so). Not many places to eat in the vicinity though. We had a car so obviously that helped.

We stayed at this campsite for one night in a tent . The Staff was very pleasant and very helpful. Showers and toilets were basic, but clean. The kitchen was ok even if not very big. The beach is not very far, but also the airport…so you can hear landings and takeoffs.. The price was correct .

We stayed for one night in a spacious studio unit. Facilities were generally clean, though getting a bit worn and dated. Access to the beach is across the tidal flats (an interesting walk at low tide), though it's a bit far from Nelson city centre (but close to the airport). Aircraft noise could be nuisance if there's a northerly wind.

We were on a two week campervan trip in nz, and stayed in 10+ campgrounds. This was definitely the worst. facilities (kitchen and toilet/ bathroom areas) are outdated and simply dirty. If i compare to other campsites in nz or australia, i would certainly not recommend.
