The outside of hotel and pool are stunning, but the indonesion theme they have created do not carry into the apartments. The apartments were a bit dated. They tried to bring in the indonesion feel but not very well (tacky ornaments etc). the cane furniture was ridiculously uncomfortable, the tv was dated and tv reception was terrible. however it had... Stayed at Nirvana Luxor in Oct 09. This hotel is kind of nowhere, sort of in a suburban area, but close to the beach (1 street) and the shops (IGA) are very close. This place was really lovely, the gardens and pool just beautiful. Our room (mid-level) was quite modern but dirty. Our feet were black (wooden floorboards) after only an hour and the window sills were disgusting. I have to mention also, very uncomfortable beds and couch.
