Pleasant experience opening the front door to be greeted by an inviting, homely space. The building itself is not brand new, it does not detract from the very apparent care and love that goes into creating a comfortable space. My one bedroom apartment welcomed me with tasteful and functional furnishings, small dining table with four chairs (with cushions!) a very comfy sofa bed in the lounge. A large flat screen tv faced the sofa, from which you could enjoy your favourite show or take in the views of the pool and ocean. The ocean isn’t too visible due to the trees that have grown high across the road, nonetheless, the sunrises, sunsets still provide a lovely view and you can hear and smell the sea from the comfort of your bed or sofa. The queen bed was very comfortable and linen crisp and fresh. Extra blankets and pillows can be found in the built in mirrored wardrobe. Along with extra bedding, you will find a clothes hamper, plenty of coat hangers, clothes airer and iron in the robes. The shower was spacious with great water pressure and hot water. The laundry was a winner for me as I was attending training courses, where my clothes were getting dirty and wet. It was handy to be able to wash and dry and avoid taking a bag of wet items home. A sachet of laundry powder can be found under the sink in the kitchen, a plastic washing tub and bag of pegs on top of the washing machine. Cleaning tools included a buckets, mop and Dyson stick vaccum. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need and possibly more. Crockery, cutlery, huge range of utensils, bowls, plastic containers, salad bowls, mixing bowls, teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, coffee plunger, pots, frypan, electric frypan, toaster, kettle, roasting tray… and more… even cookbooks!! You will also find a microwave, regular size oven, four burner electric glass cooktop and a decent sized fridge and freezer. The icing on the cake, were the two trays of ice cubes ready to be used in the freezer!! That was an extra touch which highlighted that these hosts really consider your needs. It was lovely to wind down from a long drive, with an icy drink on the balcony. I’m sure I have missed a few things… I highly recommend Seachange Coolum Beach as a home away from home, either for two nights as I needed this time, or a much longer stay that I plan on enjoying next time. The hosts are lovely, helpful and accommodating to make your stay memorable. I look forward to coming back, this time for a holiday… the pool looked amazing and I didn’t get a chance to use it this time. Thank you again, especially for the use of the towel after I checked out! Much appreciated :-)…
