We have stayed here a number of times - returning because the earlier experience was excellent. We had stayed a few nights and particularly enjoyed the meals in the restaurant which featured great local produce. The wine list was also a delight with many local wines featured. Then the rooms were probably best described as roomy but of average appointment... More

Let's begin with the positives - I was staying the night before and the night of my wedding. I asked to be upgraded to a spa room and I was. However for 300 a night you'd almost expect a spa in every room. The first night we stayed we had no hot water, when asking reception they said to "flick... More

This property is by no means a resort. The condition of the entire property is very average and nothing like a resort standard. The pool is old and unheated. The tennis court is mostly gravel and too dangerous to use for tennis. We booked the “two bedroom apartment” which is not a two bedroom arrangement at all. It is in... More

Upon our arrival we were told that we had been upgraded to the honeymoon spa suite. I was disappointed and shocked with condition and cleanliness of our room, I don't think the bathroom floor had not been cleaned/mopped from previous occupiers, nowhere in the shower recess to place soap while in use, no shower screen or curtain (water goes everywhere),... Lets start by the positive, it is a beautiful spot with direct access to the beach. The penguin tour included are great and the restaurant is very nice ( a bit over priced but nice nevertless). Breakfast is nice and plentyfull, perfectly adequate. We also had lovely staff so no complaints there. Now for the not so good. The resort is... More

Great location, nice continental breakfast but very basic, sub-standard and uncomfortable accomodation. Apartment was unclean, dated and really not suitable for a family of four. There was no storage for clothing, not enough seating for the four of us and the kitchen facilities were extremely limited. The toilet flush was broken and staff were unable to repair it, but did... My partner and I were in bicheno for one night and admittedly had already booked into other accommodation as we drove up to the diamond island resort looking for some dinner. We noticed it's unique view of a beautiful island and thought it well worth a look. We had just barely got out of our van when a member of... More

My wife and I have stayed here 3 times now, we dont mind it at all, Ive read the other reviews and have not found the staff to be anything other than acceptable, we were not there to make friends, we were there to enjoy the area, which we did. On our last trip we were offered a good price... More
