A great location looking over the ocean & pier. When we arrived we were upgraded very pleasantly surprised. Yes it is old but has a lot of charm, It was clean & very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food & service was great. We were well looked after.

The view from the ocean rooms are great with spacious balconies. The apartments have quite a few marks and dings on the walls. Having a kitchen and laundry is a bonus. I am tempted to give this an average rating, as the location is ideal with an ocean view setting, and the historic charm of the hotel is quite lovely, but sadly, management does not seem interested in cleaning their walls or up-fitting their too-worn carpets, much less vacuuming the hallways which were littered.
