We had very pleasant holiday at, and around Mudgee using The Lodge Motel as a base. A very good motel with excellent service to rooms, and a well run restaurant on site, serving good breakfasts, and a variety of evening meals. The management running this motel. are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for nine nights and enjoyed them all.... More

This is an older style motel, which the new owners are progressively refurbishing. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit, which had not been refurbished. Our unit was clean and very spacious, providing more than enough room for our two young adult children to chill out and relax in their own space. The continental buffet breakfast was also very good... More

The motel is under New Management and being refurbished. The room was clean. Our room was not one that had been refurbished. It was a king room and the bathroom was in need of a makeover. No shelf in the shower to put shampoo or conditioner and the water would leak out under the shower curtain and wet the floor near... More

Nice motel with pool. Clean and tidy rooms, friendly people running it. Breakfast was included in our rate and much enjoyed. location is 5 min into town centre, which can also be covered in 20 mins walk. Also there are a few wineries on the same road, but mostly they are the other side of town. Really good option if... More

Travelled to Mudgee for an Australia Day Concert featuring Jimmy Barnes. As with these types of events, every accomodation place in Mudgee has a two night minimum booking which makes it an expensive weekend away when you take into consideration an extra nights accomodation plus meals etc. Not to mention the inconvenience of child minding at home! Delighted to find... More

I stay here every year for the Huntington festival & there's a marked improvement with new management this year. Not only are there improvements to the common areas & rooms, they are clearly committed to service & ongoing improvements!

Arriving mid afternoon, rather than stay with family, we decided to get a motel so as we are not in anybodies way. All the motels were booked out although there was nothing happening at the time we were there and a drive around town showed most of them having vacancies. The Lodge had plenty of room and going under serious... More

Stayed in 2 bed apartment, booked as couple, arrived to two single beds, one in each bedroom! So freshly painted the odour near blew us away. No milk for hot beverages, none offered on check in. New shower, great concept in bathroom but gap of approx 25ml between screen and drain saw floor wet! No fly screen on main door,... More

Make sure you have a renovated room. We were the lucky ones from 3 couples. Spotless tasteful room, on the other hand 1 friend had threadbare carpet, totally unrenovated. Thought it unfair all charged same rate. Good bathroom lovely shower.

We came to Mudgee for the Food & Wine festival and the 'go grazing' event!! Fabulous! So basically all we needed was a comfy bed and a shower as we were out swanning around most of the time..the Lodge provided that service for us perfectly! As always, please see my pros & cons.... PROS * king size bed * good... More
