I couldn't really fault the Budapest City Central. Some people have been on here complaining that it doesn't really look like a hotel but we found it no problem, and I quite liked the building and courtyard. The place is old school. Yes it could be noisy with the windows open but what do people expect? It's right in the... More

I second the last review and don't want to repeat what they said. However, just to add that this was a great way to experience staying in Budapest amongst the courtyard and apartments that make up the beauty of the city. One felt that they were living amongst the "people" rather than just visiting at a hotel. Additionally, the staff... More

Great value for money. I can't really give this place less than a really good rating as it's in such a great location and is so reasonably priced. It's tricky to find the entrance the first time we arrived, as we expected a door on the main street where in fact it's through an archway, in a courtyard and up... More

The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the city, the rooms are clean and modern. Although the rooms facing the main road are quite noisy, the wonderfully kind staff gave us on request a quiet room, looked onto the courtyard. It was really nice, we slept like a baby :) They are there for 24 hours always ready... More

I would love to be able to give this hotel 5 stars, as it tries so hard and the staff are lovely - friendly, helpful and obliging. However, our sleep quality for the 3 nights we were in Budapest was appalling hence the 3 star review. We were in room 1, which was not only next to Reception but also... More

Highly recommended. I would definitely stay again. The hotel is well located for the centre and very near the Metro. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Our room was clean and comfortable. I struggle to think of anything negative except there was a bit of noise from the street on the Friday night.
