This place is so central, most things are just a walk away. It's clean, but in somewhat Hungarian fashion, lacking. The check in clerk was lacking in manners. The bathroom was lacking soap. We paid for a standard room but got stuck in an economy room. Brown smears on the towels, large stains on the chairs and curtains and a tap to flush the toilet instead of a cistern. The hotel was very empty and I understand why. Go there if you are looking for Soviet-style former grandeur. More

Wonderful art nouveau foyer giving the right ambience, we just stayed the night, but our room, although basic, was fine, the customer service and breakfast buffet were excellent and the hotel central and ideal to explore the city. Overall very impressed. More
