My experience here was an emergency. I needed a place to stay, even though I actually lived in Perth. For those that don't remember the big hail storm on 22 March 2010, let me précis this moment. My house and car were devastated by a massive, freak hail storm. In fact, my house was condemned by the storm. Fortunately for... More

I stayed at the Norfolk Hotel last week as I was haveing drinks with friends and didn't want to drive! I was a little apprehensive when I booked a room with no facilities. However the room, whilst small, had everything you could require for a short stay. TV, Tea/coffee, plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe and a comfy, clean... More

Stayed early November 2011 between landing in Perth from Broome and leap-frogging over to Rottnest Island. Checked in late afternoon, Queen ensuite room clean, well appointed and inviting. Heater worked, cold day in Perth shocked me from shorts / shirt / thongs from Broome climes, soon back to normal. Check in staff friendly, bar staff efficient and professional with drinks... More

Room was lovely and clean very modern look but this hotel is not designed for families with only one double bed cots are an additional $30 per person. The room was big enough to take two double bed. Over priced for what it was particularly with the room being over the front bar (was warned to be fair). Couldn't find... More

I found this to be the best place to stay in Freo on a budget. Rooms are really nice, single rooms fairly cheap, free internet, nice atmosphere. Not the best place for older people, steep stairs and loud pub, but great place for young people. Good location. More

I chose the Norfolk Hotel because it was close to the conference I was attending and besides, I did not want to stay in a large hotel. As some of the reviewers pointed out, the primary business of the Norfolk Hotel is pub and staff (although friendly) sadly lack skills and training to look after the hotel guests. Among the... More

We stayed here for 5 nights just to try and have a relaxing break round Fremantle. The rooms are modern, clean and bright and have air con etc. There are quite a few stairs and no lift which makes it difficult with heavy baggage. The whole problem with the accommodation here is that the Norfolk Hotel is first and foremost... More

My mother and I stayed at the Norfolk Hotel immediately following the renovations, I think we were probably the first guests to check-in on their reopening day. They still hadn't quite finished refurbishing the room (no curtains - though they put coverings at the window) so they gave us a voucher for a free bottle of wine for the inconvenience... More

The rooms were renovated 3 weeks ago and are beautiful, clean and comfy. Basic amenities. The location is excellent with close proximity to cafes and shops (1 minute walk). The major drawback for us was the location of the rooms. It's above a popular pub! Music booming at all hours. Great place but beware of the noise. Free internet available... More
