A friend of mine and I stayed here after the first leg of the Queen Charlotte Track. Colleen warmly greeted us upon arrival with warm muffins and introduced us to our room. We had two single beds and a small kitchenette equipped with small fridge, range, microwave, electric tea kettle, and toaster. The bathroom was well proportioned with a shower,... More

Flora and fauna reminiscent of South Pacific island. Bach (beach house) has homely charm. Hospitality brilliant. Hosts Colleen and Peter can't do enough for you without being intrusive. Evening meals cooked by Colleen have a stylish modern twist and are to die for. Excellent wines. If you are all for sparkling marble, stainless steel and spa pools, this probabaly isn't for... More

Pleased we booked a two night stay. Wonderful warm welcome with delicious muffins. Accommodation very comfortable with a spectacular view of the inlet and plenty of privacy. Spent a day relaxing and went fishing with Peter and Collen for the nights blue cod dinner. Wonderful meals with fresh produce (including blue cod). Highly reccommend this as a one night stop... Colleen made us very welcome with some of the best scones we have ever tasted. Perfect after a decent walk. Dinner was also a treat, simple but tasty and plentiful. Lovely location with a view over the bay and a cosy garden or swinging seats on the deck. The room was comfortable with all the amenities one could wish for... More

Relaxing and homely, the welcome was exceedingly warm and friendly, dinner was wonderful and breakfast was too much! The shower had wonderful pressure and warmth (a wonderful treat when arriving wet and cold), and with the self-catering kitchen option, we will definitely be back again in the future, probably for a couple of nights next time. The only thing that... More

Colleen made us the most wonderfully delicious dinner. It was one of the best meals we had on our entire trip. She also packed us a great lunch that we ate on the trail. We rented out both rooms which were clean, comfortable and had everything we could need including a beautiful view.

After a late start to the first day of the queen Charlotte track, we were welcomed with yummy, freshly made muffins by our friendly host Colleen. After a big day of travelling, Cnoc na Lear was the perfect setting for us to have a cold drink and beautiful home cooked meal looking over the stunning views of Endeavour Inlet. Dessert... More

If you are walking the Queen Charlotte Track, this is a great place to spend your first night. It's about 12 km from Ship's Cove and takes about 3.5 hour - it's incredibly muddy & slippery in November! We were greeted by Colleen and Peter on arrival and shown our lovely room. We had a large bedroom with an eating... More

An enjoyable stay in paradise setting. While called a backpackers it could also be a bed and breakfast or homestay. The setting was lovely - a wonderful patio area and outside table and chairs on a balcony overlooking the inlet. We had the rooms to ourselves so were able to enjoy the rooms, lounge and kitchen. However, if there were... More
