On the plus side: the Mall was close and the metro/bus were easily accessible. The view on the Potomac river from the room was nice and the staff was friendly. The Channel Inn is old but well maintained. Room was clean and AC worked well. Shower was strong and plenty of hot water. Reception was quick and friendly. TV was old, but didn't use it. Free Parking was an absolute plus. Food, as mot hotels in DC, was expensive. Coffee not too good. Will definitely stay again. More

The hotel itself is overall OK - though a bit old! (looks like you've steped back to the 80's). A big minus is the location in contrast to restaurants - there are almost nothing eatable in a 3 mile radius, and the restaurant at the hotel itself closes at 8.30 pm!!!
