We just happened upon this beautiful bed and breakfast along a pastoral part of the Mendocino Coast, on a bluff with a view over the headland and the Pacific Ocean. The owners are very accomodating and the breakfasts during our stay in early April were warm and heartening, in addition to being excellent and unusual dishes. THERE IS A SPACIOUS... More

Enjoyed everything about Fensalden. The view of the ocean is awesome. I love to see the fog rolling in and the cool breezes blowing. Molli and Chris are great host and hostess. Will return this year in May. More

We had looked for a B&B close to Fort Bragg, most were filled or you had a thre day mininum. We called Chris and Molly at Fensalden and he had a couple of rooms left, so we booked it for the weekend. The inn is off Hwy 1, making the property feel more isolated and quiet. Chris welcomed us at... More

Our room had a Great view of the ocean and was clean, bright, and charming. The inn is not directly on Hwy 1, making the property feel more isolated and quiet. Beautiful property. The innkeepers were very friendly and full of information on local spots and restaurants. Although we did not have them make local dinner reservations on our behalf... More

My husband and I really enjoy staying at this bed & breakfast inn when we go to the Northern California coast. The owners, Chris and Molly, are very warm, friendly people. Definitely a good family business. The rooms are fun and extremely quiet at night....so are the cottages which they will allow some pets. It is close to Mendocino and... More

The setting of this place is absolutely breathtaking. Fog was all around. Moss growing on the all the really old fencing. Huge coastal cypress trees. Gray (sky and buildings) and gold (fields) everywhere. Stunning really. The first thing we did was take a walk around the property and snap about a 100 photos. The Inn Keepers are fantastic and friendly.... More

The Inn is situated on large property with a view over an open meadow between the woods to a bluff with the ocean in the distance. Not abutting the highway, the quiet alone makes it far more appealing than other B&Bs along Hwy 1 a couple miles north in Mendocino proper, many of which appear too large to really qualify... More

Our inn keeper, Chris and his assistant Isiah were gracious, entertaining and helpful with all our needs. Breakfast was relaxing and fun with other inn guests. The food was wonderful. Tasty treats each day fresh from the oven. The dining experience is part of the special atmosphere in a B and B. We've been going to this Inn for many... More

This is a great place to stay . Right by the seaside, with views of the ocean from the rooms. Of course, the two days we were there, were the days there had to be fog all around. But it was still gorgeous. The breakfasts they provide are rich and heavy . So plan a light lunch after that !... More

Bob and Chris were so welcoming to this historic former stagecoach - they produced delicious individual breakfasts and were so informative about the history of the inn and the local area. The hummingbirds feeding outside and the deer calling in the evening mak ethsi the perfect ocen- view spot More
