Louse was very helpful and friendly. I just sent one email to book a room and she kept it for us! (not like other places). The place is small but very clean, functional and with all sorts of information about Dangriga and the rest of the country. She has a little fridge where you can get huice, water and sodas... More

We stayed here for one night before heading out to Tobacco Caye and Louise was a lovely host. She was very helpful and booked ahead for us on Tobacco Caye (at the Paradise - which was great incidentally). The private room with bathroom was very clean, had a fan, television and a warm shower (it only cost $49US). It is... More

The Bluefield Lodge is not fancy but it is clean and safe. The rooms are small but they are clean and comfortable and have tv. The rooms are locked only with a skeleton key but the hotel is very safe as the main door is kept locked. Guests are provided with a key. I didn't see any hotel in town... More

We only stayed in Dangriga one night and chose the Bluefield Lodge. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Miss Marie must be one of the nicest people I've ever met. Marie and Louise helped us book our boat ride and accommodations on Tobacco Caye. We stayed in a single, shared bath for i believe BZ$37. It was clean, had... More

No, this isn't the most plush or attractive accommodation - but then for the price, and considering you are in Dangriga, this is the best value for money, and priceless when you throw in the local knowledge, attention and service received by Miss Louise, the owner. Anything you want to know about the local area, and Belize she will bend... More

Well.... This place ain't bad for $25 a night but I agree with previous post, it is very basic. The room we got was very small, but it had everything - bed, fan, TV, private bathroom (which was really clean). We probably wouldn't stay there next time but I do recommend it door budget travelers. We stayed at the Bluefield over Christmas and were not expecting anything of international standards. However, the mattresses were pretty bad, to be honest (they had a huge fold across the middle that caused backaches). The warm water in the bathtub-type shower was not consistently warm. We were also dismayed by the number of cautionary signs posted it seemed just... More

This is truly the best service I have received. I stayed at Bluefield Lodge for a month whilst working at the hospital in Dangriga and it felt like home to me, Louise, the owner, was like a second mother to me and I was sad to leave. She is an excellent source of infomation, not only about Dangriga or even... More

Let me start by saying that when you are a guest at Bluefield Lodge, you truly are a personal guest of Louise Belisle, the owner and innkeeper. Louise was nothing but gracious and helpful. The lodge is only 2 blocks from the dock where the boats will take you out to the Cayes and is well known amongst townsfolk. The... More
