Panajachel is a cool city on the shores of Lake Atitlan. Hotel Dos Mundos is a great choice while stayin in Pana......in fact, I didn't really see a nicer option. They have a good Italian Restaurant that serves only Italian food, but it was delicious. Nice rooms, decent pool, quiet atmosphere. More

We were booked at Dos Mundos as part of a tour package to Lake Atitlan. Rainbow Travel Agency in Antiqua was very efficient. The hotel had clean rooms (we were in room 11), great water pressure, attentive staff and a central location. The only compliant I have is that the rooms didn't have AC/fan and the sheets felt musty. The location is great. Right on the main street (Calle Santander), but the rooms are set back from the road so you never hear the street noise. Just a couple blocks from the lake. Nice garden area and pool. My 3 little boys loved it (though mom and dad thought the water was a bit cold!). Nice restaurant. More
