Hotel real is a beautiful hotel built at the begining of the 20th Centurty and overlooks Santander bay. It is 5 star and deserves everyone of them, the rooms are classic and the bathrooms excellent. This hotel was booked for us by our guide. We stayed 2 nights. The rooms are above, and there are small shops below as well as the hotel lobby which doubles as a travel agency. There are external stairs, like a motel, to reach the rooms above. It is necessary to climb and drag your luggage up. But once up... More

I've rated this hotel "average" simply because I was expecting "OK" and was quite surprised by the room quality and gracious employees. This hotel was amazing and totally unexpected given its surroundings. It can be found about halfway along Calle Santander, the main road in Panachachel above a tour office and some shops.
