This bed and breakfast had some great reviews that influenced our decision to stay there. We were not disappointed. We stayed in the downstairs suite. It is roomy, clean and beautifully decorated. Virginia was there to greet us, answer questions and make sure we had what we needed. The shops and restaurants of Amana are withing walking distance and we... More

We stayed in the upstairs suite. We found it clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable. There is a complete kitchen there to use. There were two TV:s with more stations than we could ever use. The owner greeted us and welcomed us. It was great to stay in a home with so much history. If visiting the Amana's... More

We relied on reviews in deciding where to stay and were not disappointed. We stayed on the lower room and felt on home. Virginia and her husband Al were very nice. It's clear from others staying here had become like family, returning often. The living room is well appointed with a small table, cozy couch and two reading chairs. The bedroom... More

We have been staying in the Amana's for over 30 years, including most of the hotels and B&Bs. This is by far the best property to stay at. We stayed in the downstairs suite with a large living room with fireplace and pull-out couch, a homey bedroom, and a great bathroom with jetted tub. It felt like home. The owners,... More

This stay was a very satisfactory experience. We booked the mini-suite, which was actually a bath, two large bedrooms and small room with single bed - all lovely and comfortable, and at a very reasonable price. The hostess was quite accommodating - and we also enjoyed sitting out in the patio in a quiet backyard. We had our breakfast in... More

I appreciate the great review of my suite! I enjoy hearing that my guests were satisfied with everything and I will certainly consider providing a hair dryer in that suite in the very near future. More

I had never been to a B&B before so this was a really fun treat. I was a little nervous about a lack of privacy but the owners were completely hospitable & respected our space. My boyfriend & I got the downstairs suite which was HUGE & we were very pleased. It was a little bit before Christmas & the... More

We enjoyed our stay. It was a good home base for exploring Amana. It was a bit of a hike to the other side of town, but generally very close to the Amana activities and stores. We walked everywhere. We stayed in the downstairs suite. The only thing I'd warn people about is the sitting room does not have a... More

The Village Guest Suite was beautiful, comfortable and private. Virginia and Alan were excellent hosts and made us feel like family! We need to say right now that we will be back! It was great to be able to be in walking distance of the myriad of unique shops and the Iowa Renaissance Faire! Great location and wonderful accommodations! Thanks... More

This was our first time staying at a B&B, and I was very impressed. The pictures online don't do this place justice! It is tastefully decorated in a vintage style, but is still very comfortable with the amenities you would expect from a modern hotel. The suite was huge! I really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. For the price you really... More

Personable host and hostess. Located on the back street of Amana, quiet and within walking distance of the shoppes and attractions. We stayed in the downstairs suite. Included living room, bedroom, full bath, all tastefully decorated with a homey feel to it. The downstairs unit includes access to a microwave, full size refrigerator, and toaster - though a bit inconvenient... More
