A great affordable and luxurious hotel. The palace is walkable from the hotel. You need a taxi to get to the Medina but taxis in Fez are so cheap it doesn't even matter. I think our taxi ride to and from the Medina was about $3 round trip.

This a terrible hotel. The stuff is the most unprofessionel and treacherous I have ever seen. We booked 6 weeks in advance and they just cancelled our reservation a day before our arrival because they got a better business. Very mean indeed!
