Dar Kawa, a traditional "dar" built in the 17th century, is located in the heart of the old city (medina), a few steps away from the Medersa Ben Youssef (coranic school) and the famous spice market.Working with belgian architect Quentin Wilbaux, the owner looked for a way to combine the saadian seventeenth-century architecture of the house with modern comforts and style, bringing the house firmly into the twenty-first century. Only traditional materials were used for the restoration and the basic structure of the house was left intact.
