As a first-timer to Marrakech, I didn't know what to expect. When my driver pulled up in front of the rather well-camouflaged entrance to the Villa, I was pretty sure that I had made a mistake. After being escorted down a short passageway from a busy commercial thoroughfare, it took a few moments to adjust my vision to the dimly... More

This riad is well situated on the parameter of the busy Marrakech medina. We arrived after 3 days in the desert to this beautiful oasis. It is hidden between a tire shop and a repair shop. Don't let that put you off - once through the doors you are in a luxurious boutique hotel. The staff was very welcoming and... More

This is a special place! Yes it is a Relais et Chateaux establishment but is is exceptional even by their high standards. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The courtyards and gardens and pools are tranquil and inviting after the hustle and bustle of Marrakech souks and sites. The restaurant and open-air eating offer excellent French and Moroccan cuisine.... More

The pros : typical riad, each room is different and tastefully decorated, many of them with private terraces, excellent restaurant with many private rooms, beautiful and quiet patios full of flowers, helpful and knowledgeable staff The cons : fitness room is very small and would probably be hard to use with more than 2 people's at a time, rooms can... A door squeezed in between a couple of moped repair workshops, opposite a little grocery advertising Omo - could this really be the best riad in Marrakesh, as our agent promised? Down a dark passage into a small Reception area, then the door opens into a lovely patio, then another passage into a beautiful courtyard with a pool, people enjoying... More

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I have travelled extensively around the world and generally prefer to stay in 4 or 5 star hotels, and Villa des Orangers is in my Top 3, if not number 1. As others have stated, the location is perfect (particularly for a single female travelling by myself, so I didn't want to have... More

For a first trip to Marrakech as a well-travelled family used to 5 star accommodation, we were delighted with our choice of the beautiful Villa des Orangers. The staff are discreet, accommodating and charming. It is well-located in the heart of the Medina, making it a perfect location to explore the sights and exotic delights of Marrakech. Excellent local guides... More

If you are looking for an authentic small hotel experience in Marrakech which is filled with charm and has a great location, you should stay here. The food was excellent and the service was superb and very friendly. The villa has many courtyards with cosy sitting rooms, a lovely pool and charming outdoor area for eating. Our room had a... More

we have just returned from a 3 day stay at this magnificent hotel. This is really a Riad comprising 3 courtyards but its beauty cannot be overstated. We had a lovely room with our own private upstairs terrace, leading onto a rooftop swimming pool. It felt like our own villa. But what sets this hotel apart is the staff from... More

One cannot overstate the beauty of this place, a nineteenth century villa, whose three courtyards are filled with fountains, roses, orange, and olive trees. Exquisite design pervades throughout. Just steps from the Koutoubia mosque and the Sa'adian Tombs, the location could not be better. We enjoyed sunning on our rooftop terrace, which afforded dramatic views of the old city and... More
