We arrived for three nights at this Riad after Riads in Fes and Marrakech. We were a little "Riaded out". All the riads had wonderful hosts but Simon and Mouna were particularly friendly and helpful. They not only helped us get around the town and its environs but talked with us about Morocco, their neighbours and the everyday life there.... More

The guesthouse is situated in the old part of Meknes, within easy walking distance of the medina and the old imperial city. I had breakfast and several tasty home cooked evening meals in the ground floor patio area, which is richly decorated. It was a little cold at times, but perhaps it was a cold March there (certainly, snow covered... More

Comfortable guesthouse in Meknes on the edge of the Medina. Rooms are nicely decorated in traditional style, though a bit snug. The roof terrace is a nice place to relax and observe life in the town. The best part is the warm welcome of hosts Mouna and Simon, who provided extensive information about life in Meknes and Morocco, tasty home-cooked... More

We were guests more than clients at Simon and Mouna. The feeling is pf being at home. Simon helped us organize a memorable day in Meknes (probably my favorite of the imperial cities) and organize for us the best meal in out Moroccco trip at the restaurant Le Mille Nuits. The rooms and the riad in general are beautiful but... More

This guesthouse is more like a small palace with room number 1 beautifully fitted out with a four poster bed and luxurious bathroom. Make sure to have Mouna cook you a traditional dinner in the beautifully restored dining room. Meknes is not touristy - ask Mouna to take you on a tour of the souk to see tradesmen at work... More

I traveled to Morocco with my sister (who had never been out of the USA before), 21 y/o niece and my nephew who'd just completed a term at the university in Meknes. We stayed with Mouna, Amina and the children for 3 nights. Simon was not there. We were lovingly immersed in the culture and community and family. The experience... More

I had an excellent time during my short stay at the riad! The place is run by a very friendly couple and I felt more like staying at a friend's place than at a hotel. The room I was in was nicely decorated and very cosy, exactly what you need after a walk through the sometimes stressful medina. The riad... More

The Riad is beautifully renovated, Mouna's food is AMAZING!!! Mouna and Simon are super nice, warm, interesting hosts. We did and recommend the half-day cooking course including spices market tour. Great location near parking.

If you had really good ex-hippie rockstar friends that lived in a small sumptuous Moroccan villa, it would be like staying with Mouna & Simon and their 2 cute kids. They open their hearts & home to guests for not only room and board or for a lovely meal (the restaurant bit, or tips about where to go, how to... More

We spent a week in April at the Riad Lahboul and had a wonderful time. It is a beautiful place with Meknes medina just outside the front door of the Riad. A visit here offers a great combination of comfort (with UK standard sheets and plumbing!) and a real experience of Meknes and Morocco. Simon and Mouna really looked after... More
