The location of this hotel is excellent. 5 minx from the main train station, directly opposite the parliament building, and within easy walking distance of all attractions and points of interest in Rabat. Reception on arrival was efficient, but things went downhill from there. The room had a good view over the street to the parliament building, but just looked... More

You book this hotel for the location, pure and simple. It is in the heart of central Rabat, directly across the street from the Parliament Building and maybe 500 feet from the main train station. The budget hotels in downtown Rabat run about 225 Dirhams for a double. We paid 486 Dh for a double here due to an institutional... More

Have to agree with Laplos comments exactly. An absolute rip off, you needed to take a shower after taking a shower. Avoid this one, even if its only 100 dirhams its too much. The location is ok although its across from some sort of parliment building and the students are demonstrating so you get some action with the police chasing... More

What a dump. For the price (750 dh!!!!!) we got a room that was smokier than a dingy bar, yucky carpets that had not been cleaned, changed or vacuumed since the hotel was probably built a shower of sorts, a super gross glass that was probably rinsed in the toilet. We are not uber picky or fussy travellers and stayed... More

For the price paid (350 dirhams per night including breakfast for a single room) it's decent enough. Great location next to the train station, friendly staff, clean rooms. The hotel would be in serious need of some renovation / refurbishing, but for a business trip where you dont spend much time in the hotel room it's fine. Internet only worked... More

I visited this hotel in the weekend (Sat-Monday). In the basement there is a nightclub, even in a room on the 3nd floor it sounds like it is just one level below. Pounding music until 4:00 in the morning makes it hard to sleep. Perhaps better during weekdays, the room was large and clean.

Right by the train station where you will catch your train to Meknes/Fes on a main thoroughfare running through the city. Breakfast was okay; nothing to write home about. Setting for it was unusual as you had to exit the hotel, walk across the pavement into a bar, go up some stairs and into the dining room. You will think... More

As mentioned by others; a grand old lady with a perfect location near the train station. We stayed here for 2 nights and had a room on the 5th floor. That was nice because there was a lot of noice coming from the streets. Only minor thing; the elevator was next to our room. The room is spacious and clean.... More

I stayed here back in June 2006, clean hotel, great service, they have a good restaurant and easy to access. As it was 6 years since i was there i hope it still has the same feel as it did back then. Compared to other hotels i have stayed in and around Europe its one of the best and well... More

Rabat is surprisingly laid back for a capital and a treat for a couple of days. 15 years have passed since my last visit and the Balima remains a favourite. Well placed for the main station and its new tramway system, as well as a walking distance to the principal points of interest, or an 8 -15 dhrs petit taxi... More
