We had hoped to upgrade but were a tad disappointed. The room was fairly clean, and it was quiet since it was in the back. The food is ok, but there's better in other traditional restuarants. The location for shopping is excellent, however, being a block from Churchill St. It's next door to the Lion of Sheba monument as well.

Negative points: - Ras Hotel is actually quite expensive for Addis Ababa 35 dollars for a double room. The room are outdated on the first floor. Dirty, dusty and moldy rooms. Bathroom was even more dirty and horrible. Possibly they offer better rooms too for diferent prices. But the staff tried to charge us absurd prices. After lot of discussion we could pay the normal price.

Centrally located. Amazingly nice staff. Very clean. If you want luxury and fancy: this is not the place to stay... But they make you feel like home. Food is excellent.
