I stayed here for two nights for business. It seems to be centrally located and in a safe neighbourhood. There was visible security and staff went out of their way to assist us. Room was big enough and very clean. AC worked well and if we had power outages I didn't notice. Breakfast was the full works, and tasty too.... More

This hotel is pretty much as described by others below. And like anything in life, you get out what you put in. I enjoyed my stay but I can understand why those more used to European standards might find it frustrating. Power outages can be frequent (a plug that cuts out when this happens will save your laptop), although the... More

I have a stayed in a number of hotels across the world but this place will stick in my memory. This is small hotel in an upscale part of town on a residential street. During my stay (3 nights) there were no keys. Every time you wanted to get into your room you had to go to the front desk... More

This is a great hotel with excellent customer service. From the moment we arrived at the hotel with the security guards, to the smooth, quick and welcoming check-in process. This hotel really shows that if management really train their staff and motivate their employees that they will attract repeat customers. Small and intimate hotel, location is very secure and very... I have enjoyed a couple of stays at the Protea, a South African owned and run establishment. Staff are very welcoming and rooms are fine, though there is no view from many of them. Security seems good. The restaurant produces very pleasant food - Nigerian or international. There is a small pool and gym. Wifi access is pretty good most... More

What can I say, I stay all over the world. O.k, so if you know Africa, Europe, North and South America, Africa is always at the boan any I botttom of the pile! Not here, the welcome by the staff better then any I have ever had. Breakfast simple but fresh, Dinner of fish stew was just amazing, the chef... More

Stayed here on business for a few days. The room was amazing with two floors. Downstairs there was a bathroom, tv, sitting room. The stairs lead to a large bedroom, jacuzzi bath, toilet and shower room. There was a communal balcony area with seats. I was only really there for a few hours on a night and it was raining... More

Firstly, for anyone not accustomed to traveling in West Africa, prices, standards, and service are FAR different in this part of the world than what most might expect from similar ratings in the developed world. I am basing my ratings not on the "five star" system in European capitals, but on levels of expectation in Africa. That said, I was... More

Stayed here for two nights on business in Abuja. Good and secure location. Rooms were an average standard if a little tired and the air conditioning was a little temperamental. Bed was firm and comfortable - a really important point when travelling on business. Wifi was good an reliable most of the time but the hotel was subject to internet... More

The Hotel is in a "nicer" area of Abuja with lots of embassies around. It is a small hotel, so not many people around and it feels relatively warm. The rooms are not too bad so is breakfast. Internet wasn't working which the staff tried to fix about 3 times throughout 2-3 hours during the evening... some faults here and... More
