I stayed here for a night because of the history of the place and everywhere I have read says it is a must visit. I was actually very disappointed in it. Don't get me wrong it is a typical business hotel of a good standard. The staff are friendly and the pool looks good - although it may make you... More

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in May 2012. The best feature of the hotel for me was the breakfast at the Panorama restaurant. The view was amazing and the food was plenty... with fruit, eggs, croissants, etc. I particularly liked their passionfruit juice! The staff was very friendly and helpful - although they were not super fast... More

We stayed one night at this elegant and modern hotel. The hotel staff were very professional and provided great service. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We ate a delicious lunch on the patio tables near the pool. The large pool area is very nice with lounge chairs and towels provided. The outside bar area is spacious and covered with... More

My first room had a musty smell and for that I've knocked off a star. Second room, on a different night was fine. Otherwise perfectly fine choice, though not a 5 star place. Lovely breakfast buffet, beautiful view from the 4t5h floor restaurant, excellent dinner. Service was top notch. No other complaints at all. Can't say the rooms are top... More

A great hotel in Kigali, worth going for the splendid view at the restorant. We stayed there one night before going to see the Gorrilas up north of Rwanda and where quite pleased. On the + side: - Great view on Kigali - Nice pool and bar - Great food/restorant with view on the city; I highly recommend going at... More

We spent one night at the Hotel des Mille Collines after returning from the gorillas and having stayed with friends for most of the rest of our time in Rwanda. The hotel was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and we were generally happy with our stay. The rooms are not opulent but they were clean, the beds were comfy,... More

This is a very pleasant hotel in a great location. While I can't exactly rave about any specific feature of the hotel, I certainly can't complain about anything either -- the rooms are nice and comfortable, the food is good, and the grounds are well maintained. Some people seem to have been expecting The Plaza, but there are always some... More

As a colleague aptly put it, the Mille Collines (the real Hotel Rwanda if you have seen the movie) is much better than it was in 1995. However, it still leaves lots to be desired. It has had a coat of paint and new carpets, and is reasonably clean. The gym is useless—a couple of worn out bikes and weight... More
