The sparkling turtle is a great hostel to make new friends and meet some really nice people. The electricity goes out every night so there are times when you are sitting eating dinner with a candle and all the neighbours around have a generator and are watching the latest cable tv. The free breakfast is a joke and anything that comes out of the kitchen is almost twice as expensive as it should be. That, coupled with a hidden tax and a general money-grabbing feel makes this ‘budget option’ seem pretty expensive for dormitory styled accommodation.

This place is a typical backpackers as you don't see it very much in Nepal or India, but it lacks a few essentials for a convenient stay. Loved staying here. The Sparkling Turtle is definitely the best hostel I've ever stayed in. We truly enjoyed our time there and wish we could have stayed longer.
