Upon arrival, we were advised that the room we booked was not available so we were upgraded, with a possible further upgrade early evening. This was done, and we were give a business suite which was impressive considering we had paid for a room of much lesser quality. The desk staff were helpful, and obliging. The large garden by Kathmandu... More

I have stayed in KTM number of times and this time wanted to try Yak & Yeti, maybe also due to very convenient location. Booked deluxe room however was a bit shocked that they are not 5 star standard at all - not even close - on the other hand, when visiting places like Nepal, our expectations must reduce a... More

Yak and Yeti is a good avarage hotel, but need some renovation. The hotel stays at a good and easy place to reach some attractions of Kathamdu. The restaurant is ok, nothing special, breakfast is avarage. The outside area is pretty good, tennis court, swimming pool and nice garden. The worst part of the hotel is the front desk, they... More

With lots of hopes and plans we visited Nepal for our yearly vacation. The reservation to this hotel was done by one of the local travel agency which has tie up with Indian travel agency. We kept this hotel as a centre of our tour and stayed for 4 nights out of 10. This is certainly not a 5 star... More

City hotel with great service. Two very nice restaurants with a welcoming lobby bar. The breakfast buffet is a wonderful international presentation in a beautiful setting. It is Nepal, so lights go off but generators are very good. More

Yes, the Yak & Yeti has deteriorated since 1996, but so has the whole of Kathmandu. It is still ok to stay there. Do not open windows higher up as the pigeons have taken over. Beware when using any plugs. . . . Some are almost falling out of the walls. When showering, do not let any water enter your... More

As part of an Everest climbing group, we stayed at this very nice hotel. I have been to other hotels in town, and this is by far the best. Well located, great swimming pool if you have the energy to use it. Rooms are ok, with nice rooms and private baths. In my opinion the greatest thing about this place... More

This is not a 5 star hotel by any standard. The maximum that t could be given to the hotel is 2.5 stars and 3 if you are desperate. The biggest problem is cleanliness. The hotel is dirty! All public areas and rooms. Especially the superior rooms are filthy; the deluxe ones just dirty. Service; while the junior staff is... More

A very good hotel for your stay in Kathmandu. Location is right in the center of the city. Staff were very helpful and cheerful. The hotel also has a very Good Casino. My guess it is one of the best in Nepal. Just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel (2 Mins) you will find Shopping Mall, KFC, and... More

It is centrally located in a quiet street. Definitely this is not a 5 star for western standars, however I suppose it is a 5 star for a place like Kathmandu and after just longing for some sort of civilization treats after coming back from trekking, it was an ok place to relax. I tried first to stay at Shaker... More
