The staff at the Gokarna Forest Resort is outstanding. They were very accommodating in almost every in instance. The rooms and all the public areas were very clean and the food was very good with a nice mixture of local and Western dishes. There is free WiFi in the bar and nearby areas, so we made use of that benefit....

We spent 2 nights here - the resort is sort of far from Kathmandu so if you do come here, you should know that it will take a while to get into the city. We stayed here because we were on the tail end of our trip and wanted to relax. That's exactly what we got! The resort is really...

I highly recommend staying here if you need a peaceful oasis after an intense day of sightseeing in the crazy busy overpopulated city of Kathmandu! It's only a 20 minute drive from the city (about US$15 cab fare) but it's like you are in a different world...
My partner & I spent 5 nights here, and were sad to leave....

This is a great spot to be - it is not very far from Kathmandhu city itself however it is in a different world of its own. It is set amongst lush green forest with deers and monkeys and a wonderful golf course. Kathmandhu city itself is very busy and dusty and this is a great place to get away...
