Beautiful wood-carvings everywhere. The garden is nice, and breakfast is totally decent. Location is great - just close enough to the hustle and bustle, but not right in the thick of it. Great view of the city from the rooftop. Rooms are very plain, but clean. We stayed in December, and hot water was sporadic, which was a bit of... More

We stayed here for our last night in Nepal. It is a very nice hotel with a beautiful garden, all built and decorated in typical Newari style with plenty of wood-carving. It was slightly higher priced than the place we stayed during previous visits to Kathmandu (Hotel Ganesh Himal, which we also recommend), however it included a set breakfast and... More

The Guest house is within walking distance of Thamel. From the outside it looks like a building in the old Nepali style. Inside is drab. The front desk people need to be trained in guest relations. Very rough around the edges. The rooms are incredibly plain. For those of you who like air conditioning (not always needed in Kathmandu) then... More

The hotel is well located in Thamel, just a short walk from the shops and away from street and entertainment noise. We stayed 4 nights over 2 stays. We had a suite on the third floor and the extra space was appreciated. The furniture was old and fairly impractical but the king bed was firm and comfortable. The room had... More

OK, it may be legal in Nepal to smoke anywhere, but it just goes to show how 3rd world they are. That's ok because it takes time to develop laws that the 1st world have adopted some time ago like in Australia and the EU. But what is amazing that people from 1st world countries come to places such as... More

I've stayed lots of times here and I enjoy it for it's interesting architecture, lovely back garden and pleasant comfy rooms. It is full of interesting artifacts which have been collected over many years by it's owner. Reasonably priced accomdation, good breakfasts and friendly staff. However, the rooms near to the busy lanes can be very noisy. More

This hotel is a great place to stay in Thamel; convenient, reasonable and generally very pleasant. The staff were helpful and informative. Our room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was something else - the best we had had in Nepal. good roof-top restaurant.food in the restaurant was excellent and we ate there both nights. Breakfast was acceptable and... More

This place was just around the corner from the best curd I have ever tasted and literally a hop, skip and a jump through all the mud and puddles to the hustle and bustle of the tiny '2-way' streets of Thamel. The guest house itself was a tad untidy (stayed in the older rooms), dusty-bunnies under the beds, a leaking... More

The hotel isn't as center to Thamel as the others but consider that a blessing. It is quiet and a great place to explore the city. My room was clean and had hot water. Breakfast was great ad the waitress in the breakfast room was so nice. More

Great place to stay. It's a bit out of the main strip of thamel so a bit less traffic and noise. Dorm room is great value and has hot showers and comfy beds. The free breakfast and airport pickup is great. We also booked a porter and guide for trekking Annapurna base camp through the hotel which worked out perfectly.... More
