Having stayed here for numerous times since its grand opening in early 80's, it is still one of my favorite hotels in Taipei. Among all its positive characteristics such as cleanness, good services, tranquil atmosphere, etc., I particularly like the easiness of making, altering or canceling a reservation. You will never be charged for any fees until you are physically... More

My second stay at this hotel in the last 1 year, and again.. was not disappointed. The hotel is very well located, 2 mins from the metro station and big shopping malls. All the tourist locations are easliy reachable by either metro or bus. Big PLUS is that the Airport Bus stops right outside the hotel entrance (145 NTD each... More

I stayed at the Howard Plaza Hotel during a business trip and mini-conference. I found the hotel quite comfortable, the staff very friendly (and proficient in speaking English) and overall decor charming. The entire hotel is non-smoking. The hotel has an open atrium with a pond in the middle, several floors of shops and many different restaurants. For breakfast, you... More

Have stayed here few times before, The Hotel rooms are being renovated, how ever I was upgraded to a suite which was very large, it was not the renovated one, but was OK. All clean & tidy with large bed etc. Bar and food are a little expensive but quite good. Taxi service is fantastic outside. 2 breakfast restaurants, one... More

I stayed here for 2 nights during Easter in Apr 2012. The location is ok, just a few blocks from the nearest MRT station. There's also a bus running to the airport with bus stop right next to the hotel. This is not a brand new hotel. Some furnishings are rather old fashioned and need updating (especially the bathroom). I... More

Our family of five (3 kids 4-10 years old) stayed here for three nights during our visit to Taipei. It is an older hotel that needs updating, but the large room and the friendly and helpful (and English speaking) staff mostly made up for that. It definitely feels like a safe neighborhood and a safe hotel. Taxis were readily available.... More

We stayed 4 nights at Howard Plaza, which was a good choice as it is centrally located, near to MRT , SOGO and surrounded by many good dining places. Although it is not a handsome looking hotel (more than 25 years old, built 1984) and some part of it looked aged, we are very pleased with the service and attitude... More

This is a old hotel but still maintains in good shape. Rooms are nice and breakfast is good and it offers two restaurants for you to choose. I go to the Champs Elysees for breakfast as it has a lot of Chinese and Japanese choices. Location of the hotel is excellent as it is close to mass transit and it... More

I was told by a Taiwanese friend that she used to come for dining at the Pearl View Restaurant (on the 2nd floor) with her whole family over the last twenty years or so. Another Taiwanese friend advised me to have our lunch-meeting at the Japanese Restaurant on the 1st floor. A hotel full of warm memories, well-maintained by staff... More
