It may be nothing unusual, but for Japanese girl traveling Asia (or Asian looking people travel Asia) without the knowledge of the language spoken there is more than an adventure. There, most of the porters and crew speak English or Japanese (and very nice Japanese), well educated. The breakfast there had Taiwanese noodles, gruel, continental, and some Japanese rice and... We stayed in the Okura Prestige room and we felt it was such a good choice. The room is very spacious with chairs and sofas nicely laid out. Absolutely love the sliding doors of the bathroom which enhance space and also privacy. The bathroom is very spacious and the toilet is located separately therefore convenient for non-couples/ friends sharing a... More

I had the opportunity to stay one night only on a brief Taipei stop in this splendid new hotel property in the heart of the business and shopping area. Aside from the perfect reception and welcome, the thing that amazed from the start is the high-tech rooms and their numerous features. In fact, it was taking the bellman too long... More

I stayed for 3 nights in the balcony room. All the details in the room are very thoughtful and definitely put them on top of competition with hardware, including Nespresso machine, safe in the bedside drawer (instead of closet), fine linens, 2 rolls of toilet tissue on rack, and much more useful amenities. Moreover, I was able to get quality... More

Stayed in Okura for 1 night in a business trip. Hotel is new and impressive, the room was great, full of high tech equipment which made your experience more pleasant, the staff is helpful and the breakfast was pretty good. Price wise it is not much more expensive than the tupical 4-5 star hotels in the area so definitely recommended.

This is a great 5*hotel with big comfortable beds, quality fittings, great japanese toilet (kids had lot of fun), tv in bathroom, Nespresso machine and big nicely decorated rooms. We had 3 rooms, 2 interconnecting and had a really nice stay at this hotel. My husband enjoyed the spa with it's sauna, the location was very good with lots of... More

We stayed here for 3 nights with my parents in mid April. We booked two rooms. The room is big, clean and comfortable. However, the service is not up to a 5-star hotel standard. When we checked in at 1:15pm, there is only 1 room is available although we have sent email to request early check in few weeks before.... More

They are politely to help you check-in, staff at front desk welcome you by words but seems not from heart sincerely. Most of things you ask when denied, they say "this is the hotel rule". I checked in 7F suit, glad to see balcony, soon feel sad the door locked. Funny thing is that you need to sign up a... More

I can fault the huge comfortable rooms, hotels professional service, fantastic restaurants at this hotel.. but I can fault a hotel policy for departing earlier then your original departure date... business travellers departure dates can change frequently but this hotel does NOT let you change your departure date on the same day and will charge you an extra night. (you... More

We stayed at Okura on the recommendation of a Taiwanese friend, and were blown away. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - Taiwanese people are always friendly to begin with, but Okura staff were just so warm and helpful all the time, living up to the 'Japanese standards' of courtesy and hospitality. When I went to the hotel bar... More
