We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and we are very happy with the accommodation, staff and especially the location. Mrt is just a minute walk, a convenient store just a block behind the hotel, a superb bakeshop at the ground floor, stores and malls around the area which close llate at night and most of all, good food... Just finished an excellent 3 night stay at the San Wased Hotel while on business in Taipei. According to Google Map and my Taiwanese colleagues, it is one of the few hotels located within spitting distance of the metro. That alone should be enough to choose this hotel. Taipei is a huge city, and while taxis are cheap and reliable,... More

Select the hotel based on a mistake (instead of San Want Residences) and stay for 3 nights in April'12. Best is the location. It's direct @ an underground station and the underground line system in Taipei is excellent and very cheap (like it!) 2-bed Room booked for 4900 NT$, room size was spacious, only the hight with 2.10 m quite... Was there in March 15th-17th a week after the Taipei motor show. Was going to stay a week earlier, but the price pretty much doubled. We stayed at the Deluxe room this time. Paid about 4,500 NT$ for it. The price is very decent for the room size. It's double the size of the superior room...or maybe even triple the... More

This hotel is comfortable and the service staff are superb. Our "deluxe suite" had a spacious sitting room and large separate bedroom with ample closet space. There was a separate large shower stall as well as a hand held shower for the bath tub. The decors is straight out of the 1950s or 1960s, but the combination of comfort, gracious... More

This hotel feels like going back into the 80s. You get free Rice Crackers, if you are Asian, you'll know what crackers I am talking about. Breakfast ; Limited in choices, below par. You have either western, vegetarian or chinese style. Rooms ; Corridors have this damp smell that gets sucked into the rooms. Windows can be opened so its... More

I have been staying at this hotel again in Dec, Jan and Feb, it seems to me they have upgraded their Deluxe (all?) room with Toshiba LCD TV. Also seems wifi is now available at all room (well at least the room facing the main street). More

Stayed here for two nights in July 2011. The hotel has a great location if you are familiar with Taipei and can appreciate the food and shopping the area offers. For the uninitiated the surrounding could be a little chaotic though. However if your focus is food, not only the neighborhood is famous for many popular eateries, the hotel itself... More

We spent 3 nights here over Chinese New Year. While the decor / furniture was a bit old school the room was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good if you're into Asian style breakfast (congee, rice etc) but for western breakfast the variety was minimal and quality mediocre. The location of the hotel is great - literally a... More

This was my 1st stay and final stay at this propoerty. San Want Hotel was suggested by my local contacts purely for meeting and location purposes. Even the locals were disappointed and embarrassed upon viewing the sorrowful condition of the room offered. Furniture and ammenities such as the TV, bathroom design were strictly 60's era. Towels were badly shop worn... More
