Chop chop reception without much friendliness, average old-style rooms with acceptable bedding. No views, only on run-down neighborhood building. Windows have strangely ONLY night curtains, which means you either have privacy and artificial light, or no privacy and view of the neighbor's laundry. first of all, make sure you check the hotel's own websit. we got a much better rate from the hotel. if i am not mistaken, the difference was about canadian $20 a night. the room is nice and clean. comfy bebs. very good breakfast, it has something different each day and delicious. the shilin night market is only 5-7 minutes... First of all, price quoted by Expedia for Starbeauty was reasonable. Location is not central but within walking distance to MRT Shilin station. Staff are friendly and do their job fine.
