We arrived at Viengtai at 5am. Knowing that check in isnt until about 2pm we were hoping to be able to store our bags and head out in the morning after a rest in the lobby. But after a half hour wait reception gave us a our room early which was very nice. Friendly reception. Cool pool. Basic room but... More

Stunning hotel in the street parallel to Khao San Rd backpackers hub, so very centrally located to all the action, restaurants, bars, massage places, walking distance to Grand Palace, Wat Po etc but in a street a bit quieter than the bustling Khao San Rd. Got an awesome swimming pool, good breakfast with thai food and western food - eggs,... More

My two friends and I were there four nights and the rooms were very big and clean. We had three separate beds set up for us when we arrived. In Bangkok, the weather is very, very humid and hot so the air conditioning was very important for us. At Viengtai, the air conditioning was AMAZING! It was great to come... More

We stayed here as part of an explore tour so did not book it ourselves. Rooms are a good standard and spacious, bathroom a bit dull and old Good restaurant and hotel service very good When we arrived it was the last day of the water festival so we got a bit wet when walking the streets outside. I was there for Sogkran and it is the best location (they even put up a barrier in front of the lobby doors so you can watch in relative safety!) However if you are arriving or departing during the festivities you might have a problem staying dry. They were really helpful when I left and showed me how to leave... More

Great location with huge clean rooms. Pool area was clean and tidy and almost unused whilst I was there. More

I recently stayed at the Viengtai Hotel for the third time. I have stayed in both the basic and luxury rooms and both are great. This hotel is a big step up from all the backpacker hostels around it but I think it is still very reasonably priced. Make sure your deal includes the buffet breakfast which is fantastic. It... More

My wife and I spent 2 nts here prior to the beginning of our Intrepid Tour. Location was good for touring Grand Palace, Wat Pho (the Reclining Buddha) and the Chao Phraya River. We took a taxi to the Chatuchak weekend market for 200 TBHT. It cost 550 TBHT for a taxi from the airport. The pool was under repair... More

Stayed here with Intrepid. Nice large rooms, bathroom not suitable for tall people over 6' as ceiling very low and not possible to stand up in bath! Strange wifi arrangement. Not free. Beauty salon downstairs excellent. More
