What a wonderful place to stay. We spent 4 nights in this fairy tale place. Nothing to see with huge hotels. Chakrabongse Villas is a villas hotel boarding the Chao Praya River with a stunning view over the Wat Arun Temple and near the night market and the Royal Palace. The rooms are very comfortable and the service outstanding. Special... More

This is one of the best kept secrets of Bangkok. The Villas are right on the river and just across from Wat Pho tucked away is a royal garden. This is one of the finest places to stay in all of Bangkok. It is not a large hotel with shopping malls and marble lobby but it is a beautiful setting... More

We saw this in an article in theTimes in late summer and as we were going to Bangkok in January we booked two nights, and what a start it was to our holiday. It was faultless, accommodation, service, food, everything. Breakfast was served on our patio and the pool during the day was deserted. Dinner on the terrace overlooking the... More

We have not stayed at this beautiful hotel..but we have visited and had some truly beautiful meals. One feels like a visitor at a Thai Prince's home by the river. Around 1920-1930's. we had tea by the pool, it was so relaxing. Another time we had lunch and bought some books about Thailand at the book shop there. There is... More
