Gade and Paul are great hosts! they are very helpful and friendly. Women working at the cafe were also very nice. Rooms are big and clean, ours had a balcony and a king size bed. Breakfast is good too :) It its a great place to stay if you want to be in the Old city.

We stayed at ELLIEBUM for six nights and the owners, Gade and Paul, and their staff, made it feel like home. They were there at just the right time to give advice and have a chat. Our room was huge and well maintained. How nice it was to go down stairs to the cafe for our delicious breakfasts. The location... More

Had a great market/resturant/cultural tour with Paul, who used to write for the Rough Guide. Quite reasonable and a a "must do." Did not stay in the guest house but it is perfecly located and the snacks we had there were very good.

Elliebum is a cozy, little place to stay with an excellent location in Chiang Mai. Close to both Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Sing. The best things with Elliebum are the service from Gade (the owner) and the breakfast :-) The fluffy banana pancakes are maybe not the lightest thing to eat, but they sure are delicious - and... This is a review specifically for their Food Tour. We spent the our first full day in the wonderful city of Chiang Mai filling our minds with information about the city and our bellies with delicious food. Elliebum Food Tour’s is a perfect balance between the two. Paul is a fantastic, relaxed, informative tour guide. It feels like a wandering... More

Since Chiang Mai is such a foodie destination, we arranged for a guided food tour on our first full day there. Our guide was Paul, an Englishman who has lived in Chiang Mai for a few years. Even though we were primarily interested in food, Paul was extremely knowledgeable about Thai history and culture. A big bonus.. But back to... More

I stayed at Ellie Bum for 5 nights; I was travelling by myself. Gade was away while I stayed, but she was very helpful by email before I arrived, answering my questions and giving the recommendations I asked for. The staff were really helpful in her absence, and Gade even called to speak to me to make sure everything was... More

I think it would be fair to say that Elliebum is a cafe with rooms than the other way around. It's micro staff hand over the keys to the room up stairs and from then onwards it's self care. The cafe staff are around to answer questions and mark places on the map if required, they helped me hire a... More

My husband and I stayed at Elliebum recently and we loved it. We would happily stay there again next time we are in Chiang Mai. The guest house is adorable and wonderfully decorated. The room we stayed in was quite large and very comfortable. We felt at home while we were there. The breakfast in the morning was also wonderful.... More

Elliebum Guesthouse is a delightful little place tucked in the heart of the old city in Chiang Mai. It is centrally located with easy access to lots of eateries and cafes. The night market is a 20 minute walk away and the food market is a 10 minute stroll. Two major temples - Wat Prasinghe and Wat Chedi Luang are... More
