The room, location and staff were great. We would gladly stay there again. On arrival, we were told at reception that we would have to pay in cash, right then, for our seven night stay. They were gracious enough to let us check in and come back later with the cash. Nothing was said at the website or the booking... More

At first sight a nice, spacious room - after a while we found a lot of bugs on a bed. The staff came to kill the bugs. Plus: location near the Tha Pae Gate Minus: room had an unsavory odor and the rooms are attainable from the street. Rarely someone from the staff present at the reception desk. No breakfast.

A great place to stay if you want to be right in the centre of old Chiang Mai. This hotel is clean, excellent value for money , situated in a quiet street but close the action. The rooms are spacious with large comfortable beds and en-suite bathroom. Each room also has a fridge stocked with chilled drinking water which is... More

EXTREMELY good location just behind Tha Phae Gate yet VERY quiet, very clean, helpful staff, the rooms are unobtrusively decorated, very nice. But be aware you can find guesthouses in Chiang Mai that come at almost half the price of Mini Cost only and are still ok with respect to location and very good with respect to cleanliness.

We found this apartment and guesthouse in Lonely Planet traveling handbook. They said they were very impressed, and so were we! We were looking for something quite, not expensive, but nice and clean at the same time, and in a good location. we thought that would be hard but tried to give this place a go and it was perfect!... Let's face it, booking your trip on line, while seriously convenient, can be harrowing. Those few minutes before being face with the hotel are tense. So when I discover a hotel whose web site is honest I want to sing its praises. Minicost is one of them. Minicost is inexpensive, clean, convenient, helpful and it has hot water showers. Bliss.... We stayed for 4 nights in this guesthouse. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms and the service offered. Rooms were cleaned everyday and they even.changed towels everyday. The staff were very helpful and the laundry service was excellent. The guesthouse is located in a narrow road close to the main streets. Close by there is also a... More

We try to stay in budget accommodation to spend longer travelling. This place was a great find. Huge comfortable room. Bathroom a bit small and everything got wet when having a shower but this was a minor inconvenience. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of cheap little restaurants close by if you want to avoid the tourist restaurants. Can thoroughly... More

I stayed here for a month in June while training Muay Thai at Team Quest Thailand in Chiang Mai; so I'm a bit late in adding my review. The owners, Laurie and Orapin were extremely helpful and eager to assist with any enquiries, including recommendations on tours, etc. The room was very large by Thai standards and immaculately clean at... Stayed here for 2 nights - staff were very friendly, room spotless and huge. The only downside was the cost as they were asking 850 baht for one night and there are plenty other places in the area just as nice for a more reasonable price, try Awana house next door!
