The room was very clean, in fact it looked brand new. Very modern bathroom and shower. We had a problem with the hot water on our first night, but they were very apologetic about it and fixed the problem as soon as they could.
There was good wifi throughout the guesthouse, and a nice sitting area outside the room.
We liked our stay here so much, we actually extended it another four nights!
The owner was even kind enough to drive us to the bus station after we checked out.
Highly recommend, you will be hard pressed to find a better value quality place to stay in Chiang Mai.
the location is in the old city and traffic is convenient , near a local market.
the coffee shop is also good.
The room is fair sized. My main issue was the bathroom. The bathroom was not clean and I didn't have time to have them clean it because I was out all day. The toilet had yellow stains and the shower drain was so clogged that after three minutes of showering it would back up. I'd then have to wait for the water to go down.
This was only for my room as a friend a few doors down seemed fine.
Reception doesn't speak English and don't expect them to be able to arrange anything.
The room was clean and spacious and the coffee was great!
Like others gave mentioned, there's no character whats so ever. Service is virtually non-existent. If all you're looking for is a functional space, then look no further. Single room for 500 baht.
600 THB got us a spacious, well-equipped, air conditioned room with an exceptionally comfortable double bed, TV, fridge, great internet connection and hot water shower (!!), towels and bathroom accessories provided. The bathroom with walk-in shower is spotlessly clean, and did I mention the hot water shower (!!)? Soi 7 is just a short walk away from the food market on Soi 6 and the bookshops, restaurants and tourism offices of Chiang Mai's Old Town.
Despite the nice layout, the room did feel a little on the darker side, with just one 'window' opening outward to the hallway overlooking the courtyard. Downstairs is a small coffee shop, but not much else, contributing to the loss of character of Baan Ramida. As mentioned in a previous review, its lacking personality.
Oh, shuts! Enough with the negativity. All in all, Baan Ramida offers some good value for your buck. And for us, this place was a welcome bit of comfort at a very decent price. I'd comfortably say it would be hard to find a place of similar quality in the low-mid range price class.
We stayed in the spacious top floor room which had a simple but clean
bathroom and was furnished with a couple of pieces of contemporary
thai furniture. We were looking to recoup and were happy to find
room service, free wi-fi, and natural light. The restaurant, while small, was housed in a tastefully designed tropical garden and was a great place to relax. After having spent our first night at the Eurana Boutique Hotel just down the lane where we spent three times as much for a poorer room, we would highly recommend Baan Ramida for couples looking for a 3 star base in Chiang Mai. The large room on the top level is really great and worth the extra baht. The only word of caution would be the room we stayed in was directy above soi 7 so there was the occasional motorbike and car noise but we still slept soundly.
"Rooms facing the front have extra window and are sunny, but if light sleeper get one towards the back..most rooms are exactly the same."Read full review
