We made a reservation and said our plane would arrive at 5PM so we would check in at the hotel around 6PM. When we arrived they said there was a problem with our room and we should go to dinner while they fix the issue. Upon returning to dinner they said there was someone else with the same first name...

Our first night we arrived at 9PM and received a bad room on the back alley. Next morning we were switched to a nice large room in the front of the hotel on the 4th floor. Our biggest complaint is that there is absolutely no heat in the rooms and since it was a cold spell we went to bed...

We were not lucky because we had a bad room the first night we stay at this hotel (dirty, mold, bad smell room). We asked to change the room and they gave us the best room they have in this hotel so it was good. Therefore, you should ask to see the room before you decide to stay at this...

We stayed here during a very cold spell in Hanoi. The Hotel is in a great location right in the heart of the old quarter. The staff are friendly and helpful (there are a lot of them too) but many speak very little English, that said there was always someone around who could speak to us. The rooms, whilst clean...

Just stayed 5 nights at the Hanoi Fortune and had a good stay.
Booking and communications with the hotel was prompt and easy, hotel pick up went smoothly and check in was quick and efficient. Hotel taxi is normally a bit more expensive than just getting one yourself, but at least you know that the taxi knows where the...

We got a 25% off coupon on TripAdvisor and paid only $US22.5 for a double room. The hotel is nicely tucked away inside Old Quarter and very central. The rooms are rather big and neatly kept. The staff at the reception are friendly and can help organizing tours too. Breakfast is included in the room
price and was pretty good....

I spent one night there with my parents. The location of the hotel is excellent, it is in the center of the old town. The rooms are spotless. For 40$ a night for three people, this is a good value hotel. However, I thought that the breakfast was poor and the dining room was not very clean...I saw a mouse...

Our driver who we had paid $80US for the day, took us to the Hanoi Fortune Hotel when we asked him to take us to the airline/train booking office. No amount of convincing would get him to change his mind and as we didn't know where to go, we allowed the staff to book our airline flights and train tickets....
